Beijing You’an Hospital is a hospital attached to the Capital University of Medical Science, as well as a training base of master- and doctor-degree postgraduates. It is also the training base of Ministry of Health for advanced studies of physicians in infectious diseases. It shoulders the teaching task of undergraduates, postgraduates, doctors, advanced-study students for the Capital University of Medical Science and the Ministry of Health. It is also one of the national important research bases of infectious diseases and hepatic diseases with several high-tech (863) projects, natural fund projects and research projects of China and Beijing.

Duan Zhongping, male, born in 1962, Doctor of Medical Science, chief doctor, professor, Doctor-degree postgraduate tutor. Acts as Vice Director of Beijing You’an Hospital Attached to the Capital University of Medical Science, Vice Director of Infectious Disease Department, Vice Director of Digestion Science Department of the Capital University of Medical Science, and director of Beijing Artificial Liver Treatment and Training Center.

Main part-time responsibilities:
Now acts as vice director with Treatment and Prevention Technology Consulting Center of China Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Foundation, head of national severe hepatic disease and artificial liver blood purification research task team, administrative member and artificial liver science team head with Hepatic Disease Branch of China Medical Science Society, administrative member with Blood Purification Branch of China Hospital Management Society, vice chief editor with China Blood Purification magazine, editor or administrative editor with a dozen of professional magazines such as China Hepatic Disease magazine, China Test Medicine magazine, China Medical Science magazine, transaction of the Capital University of Medical Science, and China Practical Internal Medicine magazine, etc. He acts as the leading expert of Beijing key research task of viral hepatitis and severe hepatic disease research task of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Long-term clinical treatment and research of severe hepatic diseases, hepatic failure, artificial liver, with rich experience. He conducted 3A biological artificial liver retronituse test earliest in China and clinical research of China’s first ELAD biological artificial liver. He studied and visited Britain Edingburgh University and other countries. He has published more than 40 academic papers, and 6 books such as Science of Artificial Liver Treatment, Practical Operating Manual of Artificial Liver and Blood Purification. He achieved 5 research outcomes of the Ministry of Health and Beijing. He has one invention patent. Acts as Chairperson of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd national annual academic conference on severe hepatic disease and artificial liver and blood purification, making important contribution to China’s severe hepatic disease research.
