Beijing Training Center for Artificial Liver Treatment is a domestically first-rate comprehensive training base for artificial liver treatment and technology with the most complete therapies of artificial liver. The Center is an integration of medical treatment, research, teaching, training and international exchange.

The Center has an expert team headed by Professor Duan Zhongping, with solid technical force and internationally advanced equipment. It conducts plasma exchange, bilirubin absorption, blood/plasma perfusion, chronic continuous hemofiltration/hemodiafiltration, lipid apheresis, and treatment of combined bioartificial liver, MARS and various artificial livers. Technical indicators such safety and success rate of treatment reach the advanced level at home and abroad. It has built a long cooperative relationship artificial liver and blood purification research institutions in several world countries including US, Canada and UK. It has also conducted several major research tasks, and proactively offered training of artificial liver technology, and published several monographs. The Office of Technical Consulting Center for Treatment & Prevention Technology of China Hepatitis Prevention & Treatment Foundation, the Heavy Liver & Artificial Liver Team of  Hepatopathic Science Branch of         Chinese Association of Medical Science, and the National Research & Collaboration for Artificial Liver & Blood Purification are all situated in this Center.
