Beijing Endoscopic Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Hepatopathy was founded in You’an Hospital in 2000 as one of the key departments of the Hospital and the education base for master’s-degree graduates of the major of Digestion in the Capital Medical University.

The Center has an expert team represented by Professor Jin Rui and Ding Huiguo. It’s provided with advanced technology and equipment. It conducts routine endoscopy of digestion of various liver disease patients; liver cirrhosis in coalition with esophageal varicosity hardener, intervention therapy such as embolization operation; Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Nasobiliary Drainage (ENBD), and Endoscopic. Sphincterotomy (EST), etc.; resection of digestive tract polypus under endoscope, Endoscopic Stenting for Biliary and Esophageal Stricture, and routine colon endoscopy and treatment. Previous traditional therapy of triple lumen cathether compression hemostasiswas was improved for the Emergency Endoscopic Hemostasis in  Upper Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage, sclerotization and embolization. The rate of successful salvage of massive haemorrhage has increased from the previous less than 30% to 70% over. The Center has powerful research force. It has won Science & Technology Advancement Award from Chinese Association for Medical Science and Beijing Science & Technology Commission, also won several tasks of research foundation.
